Part-time Performing & Creative Arts Teacher (Music, Drama, Visual Arts)

About the role

ACC Hobart is seeking a part‑time Performing and Creative Arts Teacher (Music, Drama, Visual Arts) to commence in Term 3, 2026. The role may involve teaching one or more of these disciplines to K‑10 students in a Christian, non‑denominational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Actively lead the Christian formation of students.
• Provide pastoral care rooted in genuine Christian faith.
• Teach the prescribed curriculum in music, drama and/or visual arts, creating a conducive learning environment.
• Contribute to an inclusive, cross‑cultural approach to learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, extra‑curricular tasks and liaise with parents as appropriate.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor's degree and teaching qualifications (e.g., Master of Education).
• Passionate about impacting students' minds and hearts and providing a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Highly relational with a holistic view of teaching and student welfare.
• Collaborative mindset for developing and implementing teaching and learning programs.
• Servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.

Required skills

• Familiarity with an Explicit Instruction model of teaching (preferred).
• Ability to lead Christian formation and deliver pastoral care.
