Part-Time Oral Health Therapist - Orthodontics

About the role

A specialist orthodontic practice in Warrnambool, Victoria, is recruiting an Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to support its growing clinical needs. The position is part-time, 2-3 days per week, at $70 per hour, and is open to experienced OHTs and motivated clinicians; an orthodontic background is not required. Relocation and accommodation assistance is available for discussion with suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Support orthodontic treatments and appliance adjustments within your scope of practice
• Digital scanning, impressions and radiographs
• Patient education and preventative oral healthcare
• Monitor patients throughout their orthodontic treatment journey
• Build strong relationships with patients and their families
• Work collaboratively with the orthodontist and clinical support team

Required profile

• Qualified Oral Health Therapist with current AHPRA registration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, approachable and patient-focused personality
• Strong clinical confidence and ability to work independently within your scope
• Genuine interest in orthodontics and professional development
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient care
• Previous orthodontic experience is advantageous but not essential
