Part-Time Nanny (3 days a week)

About the role

A family in Hamilton Hill, Western Australia, with two young children (2 years and 10 months old) and expecting a third in February 2027, is looking for a part-time nanny. The role is long term, starts as soon as possible, and runs three days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7.30am to 3pm, negotiable). Pay is from $40 to $45 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive care for the children and support the mother with day-to-day family needs
• Engage in age-appropriate play and developmental activities, reading, singing and encouraging early learning
• Support naps, meals and daily routines, and take the children on walks and outings where appropriate
• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment and step in proactively when support is needed
• During nap times or when appropriate, help with light household tasks such as tidying toys, cleaning up after meals, laundry and general tidying

Required profile

• Caring, nurturing and experienced with babies and toddlers, able to give consistent routines and positive guidance
• Emotionally mature, trustworthy and reliable, with good communication skills and initiative
• Comfortable around dogs (the family has a 12-year-old dog)
• Preferred: 3+ years of nanny or childcare experience and childcare qualifications
• Preferred: current Working With Children Check and First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
• Preferred: strong English, able to swim, non-smoker
