Part-Time Kitchen Attendant

About the role

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf, part of the Accor Group, is looking for a part-time Kitchen Attendant to support its chefs across à la carte dining, room service and buffet operations. The role helps keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient so that guests receive an excellent experience. The pay is $26.44 per hour plus applicable penalty rates.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across kitchen areas, equipment and utensils
• Operate dishwashing equipment and keep a continuous supply of clean kitchenware
• Assist with basic food preparation and stock handling as required
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS standards at all times
• Support the Kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations

Required profile

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Previous kitchen or stewarding experience preferred
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and excellent attention to cleanliness and organisation
• Able to work efficiently under pressure
• Flexible to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
• Team-focused and willing to go the extra step for guest experiences
• Valid Australian working rights / visa is essential; students are welcome to apply and should state their availability
