Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street, a 244-room hotel in Melbourne's CBD, is looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper. This is a hands-on leadership role helping to lead a high-performing housekeeping team and ensure the hotel meets its high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail. The position is open to Australian residents only or those with the legal right to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a diverse housekeeping team to deliver consistent cleanliness and service standards.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department so guest rooms and public areas stay to a high standard.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate daily team briefings, allocate workloads and support productivity and roster management.
• Manage housekeeping inventory and ordering, ensuring the team has the supplies, linen and amenities guests expect.
• Work with Front Office, Engineering and other departments for a seamless guest experience.
• Assist with team development, coaching, payroll administration and labour cost management.

Required profile

• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• A hands-on approach, leading from the front and involved in daily operations.
• Willingness to learn numbers and financial acumen.
• Strong communication skills and a strong guest focus, able to resolve guest concerns professionally.
