Part-Time Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

ibis Styles Mount Isa is looking for a part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead its Italian-inspired restaurant, Giuseppe's Cantina. The role combines hands-on service with planning and coordination so that both everyday dining and special functions run smoothly. It suits someone who enjoys leading busy restaurant service and bringing events to life.

Key responsibilities

• Lead restaurant and bar service, giving clear direction and support to the team
• Coordinate functions and events, from enquiries and planning through to delivery
• Prepare and maintain banquet event orders, organise invoices and deposits, and share event details across departments
• Work with the kitchen to manage the pace of service and communicate dietary requirements accurately
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback
• Train team members and oversee opening, closing and service preparation
• Maintain food safety and responsible service of alcohol standards

Required profile

• Restaurant or bar supervisory experience, plus experience coordinating functions or events
• Organised, approachable and able to make decisions during a busy service
• Current RSA valid in Queensland
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Attention to detail and reliable follow-through
• Sound understanding of food safety and dietary requirements

The position is part-time within a regional hotel in the Accor network. Giuseppe's Cantina closes for two weeks after Christmas Day, and working arrangements during that period are discussed during recruitment.
