Part-Time Afternoon Nanny

About the role

A family in Alexandria, NSW is seeking a patient, kind and nurturing nanny to provide afternoon care for their two sons (11 and 5 years old). The role is part-time, four days a week, Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, starting as soon as possible. It is described as a long-term or permanent position, with pay depending on experience and open to negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive care and support the children's afternoon routine
• Engage the children in age-appropriate play and supervise indoor and outdoor play
• Prepare snacks and assist with meals, and support bath and evening routines where needed
• Clean up after the children, complete their laundry and keep play areas tidy
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Communicate openly with the parents about each child's day and wellbeing

Required profile

• Patient, kind, empathetic, honest, reliable and trustworthy; confident caring for multiple children
• 2+ years of professional childcare or nannying experience highly regarded
• Childcare qualifications preferred
• Current Working With Children Check and current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent references
• A full driver's licence and own car preferred; non-smoking
