Para Consultant – Healthcare Recruitment

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Para Consultant to join Verus People’s healthcare recruitment team. In this hands‑on position you will support our recruiters in sourcing and placing contract nurses across mental health, hospitals, remote area nursing and aged care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to recruiters, including candidate generation, compliance, locum management and timesheet processing.
• Build and maintain a talent pool of contract nurses in the chosen specialty.
• Develop and execute candidate acquisition strategies using advertising, headhunting, referrals and networking.
• Screen adverts, respond to candidates, conduct interview screenings and create candidate profiles.
• Maintain strong relationships with candidates, clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
• Research contract nursing market trends to become a subject‑matter expert.
