Outreach Coordination Support Officer

About the role

The North West Hospital and Health Service is looking for an Outreach Coordination Support Officer to support outreach and visiting healthcare services across remote North West Queensland. The role keeps outreach and visiting services running smoothly by coordinating schedules, managing patient appointments and providing administrative support so patients can access the care they need.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach clinic schedules and communicate arrangements with remote facilities, visiting services and community stakeholders.
• Manage patient bookings, waitlists, recalls and appointment confirmations for specialist outreach clinics.
• Organise travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements for visiting medical officers and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinic information and records across relevant systems.

Required profile

• A relevant qualification in Business Administration or similar is well regarded but not mandatory.
• C Class motor vehicle licence.
• Pre-employment screening, including criminal history checks.
• As a VPD risk role, evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis may be required.
• A period of probation may apply.
