Out of School Hours Assistant Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

The OOSH Assistant Coordinator supports the Out‑of‑School Hours Care (OSHC) service at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College. Working part‑time, you will help lead educators, ensure compliance with regulations, and step in as the OSHC Coordinator when required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the OSHC Coordinator/Nominated Supervisor in leading staff and managing daily operations.
• Provide regular reports on service performance and operational matters.
• Act as the OSHC Coordinator/Nominated Supervisor in their absence.
• Oversee curriculum development, parent and community liaison, and staff professional development.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
• Current Emergency First Aid qualification for Education and Care Settings.
• ACE CQA‑approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training.
• Valid Working with Children Check and Accredited Child Protection Training.
• Willingness to act as Nominated Supervisor under national legislation.
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in Out‑of‑School Hours Care (or 3 years in a similar leadership role).
• Experience in administration, curriculum development, and staff management.
