OSHC Coordinator - Helping Hands Sunbury

About the role

Helping Hands Sunbury, a small OSHC service within a regional school that cares for around 15-30 children each day, is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator. The role leads a team of Educators and oversees a before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. It is a permanent, part-time position of 34 hours per week, split across Monday to Friday with 4 hours of dedicated non-contact administrative time.

Service hours include Rise Then Shine (6:30am-9:00am), Stay and Play (2:30pm-6:00pm) and block shifts during school holidays. The split-shift model gives back the middle of the day.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead a vibrant, child-centred program with activities such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts
• Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance and administration
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported and motivated
• Partner with families, the school community and internal stakeholders to help the service grow

Required profile

• Natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow
• Holds or is willing to obtain a national police check (paid by the employer)
• Australian working rights
• QLD 2-year qualified Educator, or working towards it, in line with ACECQA
• Completion of National Child Safety Training before onboarding (via Gecko)
