OSHC Assistant Coordinator - Northgate

About the role

Helping Hands Northgate, part of Junior Adventures Group, is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator for its growing service. It is a permanent, part-time role of 20 hours per week across split shifts, Monday to Friday, suitable for students in education, psychology, social work or healthcare. The Assistant Coordinator helps lead a team of Educators and oversees a before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12.

Key responsibilities

• Design and help lead a child-centred program with activities such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts
• Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance and administration
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported and motivated
• Partner with families, the school community and internal stakeholders to help the service grow
• Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager

Required profile

• Working towards or having completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2-Year Qualified Educator in Queensland under ACECQA
• Full Monday to Friday availability
• Completed National Child Safety Training before onboarding (via Gecko)
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and a Working with Children check
• Australian work rights
• Clear communication, teamwork and aspiration to grow into a leadership role
