Operations Manager, Victorian Family and Carer Services

About the role

Wellways is seeking an experienced, values-driven Operations Manager for its Victorian Family and Carer Services portfolio, including Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centres and Family Respite services. Reporting to the Director of Family and Carer Services, the role leads service delivery leaders, strengthens workforce capability, oversees compliance and risk management and builds partnerships with stakeholders and community organisations. It is a full-time, ongoing position based in Melbourne and a designated lived experience leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Drive service quality, operational performance, financial sustainability and continuous improvement across programs
• Lead and develop service delivery leaders and strengthen workforce capability
• Oversee compliance and risk management
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and community organisations
• Champion family-inclusive, carer-led and person-centred service delivery
• Contribute to service innovation, growth and reform

Required profile

• Lived experience as a carer, family member or supporter of someone with mental health challenges and/or disability
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Management or a related discipline, or equivalent senior operational leadership experience
• Demonstrated senior operational or management experience in community services, disability, health, aged care or related sectors
• Experience leading large-scale or multi-site operations and leading managers or senior leaders
• Right to work in Australia, current driver's licence, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, satisfactory police check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check

What we offer

• $63.15 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits
