Operations Manager – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Operations Manager for its Kwinana Energy Recovery plant in Perth. You will lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team to deliver safe, efficient and profitable plant performance while supporting Australia’s first waste‑to‑energy facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop high‑performing Operations teams across a 24‑hour shift system.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee asset management and maintenance activities to meet agreed timeframes.
• Collaborate with Shift Team Leaders to create and execute strategic operational plans.
• Maintain contractual and performance obligations, providing mentorship and resource planning for staff.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mining, Heavy Industry or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in renewable energy, waste management or similar heavy‑industry sectors.
• Proven ability to work with large, diverse project teams and identify growth opportunities.
• Experience in leading operations in a shift‑based environment.
