Operations Coordinator

About the role

Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jet Ski Tours, part of Journey Beyond's experiential tourism group, is looking for an Operations Coordinator in Airlie Beach. The role supports the Operations Manager with daily operational requirements, ensuring efficient operations, compliance and clear communication, and works with the leadership team to drive efficiencies and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations by assisting the Operations Manager and coordinating activities across marine, tourism and shore-based teams
• Coordinate workforce administration: recruitment, onboarding, rosters, timesheets and leave requests, working with People & Culture and HSE teams
• Maintain compliance, training and personnel records, including qualifications, certifications, training databases, permits and licenses
• Keep operational documentation and accountability systems up to date, such as action registers, vessel records and reports
• Coordinate operational resources and continuous improvement, including purchasing, inventory, uniforms, equipment, consumables, stakeholder communication and WHS compliance

Required profile

• Experience in an operational administrative role, preferably in the marine or tourism industry, with awareness of maritime compliance requirements
• Relevant qualification in Business, Tourism, maritime or a related discipline
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with internal and external teams

Required skills

• Confident use of technology and operational systems, including CRM systems, booking platforms and reporting software such as FareHarbor and Deputy
• Awareness of maritime compliance requirements (desirable)
