Oncology Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy Role

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Oncology Pharmacist to join Slade Pharmacy’s Albert Street location within Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne. The role offers the chance to develop specialist oncology expertise while delivering safe, high‑quality medication services to cancer patients throughout their treatment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Review, dispense and manage oncology and supportive‑care medications, ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Conduct clinical assessments and medication reviews, making recommendations to optimise patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses and other health professionals to support evidence‑based cancer care and treatment planning.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives, pharmacy protocols and service development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training across the oncology network.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong interest in cancer care; oncology pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced setting.
