About the role
CORTO is a fast‑growing AI‑driven legal tech company looking for an Office Manager to keep its Sydney office running smoothly during a 9‑month maternity leave contract (July 2026 – April 2027). You will be the first point of contact for visitors and new hires, ensuring a welcoming and well‑organised workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations: stock kitchen, empty dishwasher, order supplies, coordinate catering.
- Oversee relationships with building and facilities vendors (e.g., Mirvac), log issues and drive resolutions.
- Lead the office move at the end of 2026, handling logistics, packing, vendor coordination and minimizing disruption.
- Plan and execute culture events such as the Christmas Party, Superbowl lunch, pool competition and the social committee calendar.
- Welcome new hires, candidates and visitors, setting a warm and organised tone on day one.
- Run HR onboarding and induction logistics in partnership with the People Ops Specialist.
- Provide backup support on BambooHR for employee administration, lifecycle updates and basic reporting.
- Deliver first‑line IT support with the IT Manager, including troubleshooting, new‑starter setup, access cards and equipment.
- Assist with light finance admin: process invoices, purchase orders and manage the events‑and‑supplies budget.
Required profile
- Available for a 9‑month maternity‑leave contract from July 2026 to April 2027.
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Receptionist, Workplace Experience lead or similar operations role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects such as catering, an office move and cultural events.
Required skills
- BambooHR (HRIS) proficiency.
