About the role

Join Avina’s 12‑month Graduate Program as an Occupational Therapist and develop your clinical identity with structured onboarding, supervision and a real caseload across community, clinic, home and school settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence‑informed, person‑centred occupational therapy services in diverse environments.
  • Complete functional assessments, capacity‑building activities and assistive technology recommendations.
  • Participate in shadowing, reverse‑shadowing and supervised sessions to transition to independent practice.

Required profile

  • Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy (completed or near completion).
  • AHPRA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
  • Interest in disability and community‑based practice, strong communication and organisational skills.

Required skills

  • Ability to conduct functional assessments and capacity‑building interventions.
  • Knowledge of sensory, motor and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Experience with assistive technology and equipment selection.
