Occupational Therapist – Clinical Role in Canberra

About the role

Join the Cerebral Palsy Alliance team in Canberra as an Occupational Therapist, working within a senior multidisciplinary team of 16 therapists. You will support clients with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions across the lifespan, delivering evidence‑based interventions in both clinic and community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapy for infants, children, and adults with cerebral palsy or similar neuro‑disabilities.
• Deliver interventions using specialised equipment such as magic carpet, lite gait, hi‑lo seating, wheelchairs, standing frames and high‑tech AAC devices.
• Conduct home and community visits to extend support beyond the clinic.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including speech pathology, physiotherapy and exercise physiology.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Ability to meet medium level physical functionality requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with AAC devices and specialised seating equipment.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based interventions for cerebral palsy (ages 0‑3 and beyond).
