Nurse Coordinator (Part-Time)

About the role

Genea Canberra is growing and is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Canberra clinic on a full or part-time basis. Nurses provide frontline care to patients throughout their fertility treatment, and this role is office-based, with face-to-face and phone interaction with patients. About half of the role involves clinical duties, while a significant part involves patient care, support and education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face patient interviews and phone consultations
• Collaborate with doctors and scientists to coordinate care and tailor treatment plans for each patient
• Give patients instructions for self-administration of IVF drugs
• Provide results to patients by phone and support them as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records, enter clinical data and handle general administration

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Ideally previous experience as a fertility nurse
• Strong clinical skills and strong people skills, as the role involves support and counselling
• Empathetic, able to build rapport and give genuine care
• Strong administration skills and technical competence, as the role uses several IT systems that must be learned
