Casual Andrology Scientist

About the role

Genea Canberra, a leader in assisted fertility, is looking for a casual Andrology Scientist to join its scientific team in the clinic. The role covers all aspects of andrology services and diagnostic procedures in the laboratory, working on Saturdays and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ART sample preparation, diagnostic sperm analysis and laboratory maintenance on Saturdays and public holidays
• Handle gametes manually and carry out diagnostic andrology procedures
• Prepare ART sperm for IUI, IVF and ICSI procedures
• Maintain the laboratory, including equipment checks and keeping stock
• Communicate directly with patients and keep accurate records

Required profile

• Experienced and qualified Andrologist; experience in an IVF laboratory is essential
• Ability to work as part of a small, skilled team
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills, as the role involves considerable patient contact
