Night Manager - Hilton Melbourne

About the role

Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street, a newly opened hotel in the CBD with 244 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym and five meeting spaces, is hiring a Night Manager. The Night Manager reports directly to the Front Office Manager and leads the overnight Front Office operation, supporting the team, handling guest arrivals and departures, running the night audit and dealing with guest concerns, operational matters or emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and take full responsibility for the hotel during the overnight hours
• Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints promptly
• Complete Night Audit duties
• Ensure all team members are prepared and informed to deliver an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out
• Maximise sales revenue through up-selling and marketing programs within the department
• Follow the hotel credit policy correctly regarding credit cards and cash
• Handle management issues or emergencies, record and resolve them as necessary
• Monitor guest satisfaction reports and implement actions to improve results
• Maintain Hilton brand standards

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership front office role in a similar-sized hotel
• Fluent English, in person and over the telephone
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and training and development skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to resolve problems and conflict and work efficiently under pressure
• Well-presented, organised and calm

Required skills

• High level of IT skills, including Excel and Word
