Nesting Programmer / Stone Machine Programmer

About the role

A leading kitchen designer and manufacturer in Campbellfield, Victoria, is hiring an experienced Nesting Programmer / Stone Machine Programmer. This is a true machine-programming role: writing and tuning the actual CNC programs that run on bridge saws and waterjets, rather than just preparing CAD or CAM files.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit and optimise CNC programs for bridge saws and waterjets
• Nest and optimise slab layouts to maximise yield and minimise waste
• Tune cutting parameters for natural stone, porcelain and sintered stone
• Maintain post-processors and machine code libraries
• Work closely with machine technicians on cycle improvements
• Troubleshoot programming issues during production
• Document standard programs and operator instructions

Required profile

• Hands-on CNC machine programming (G-code level)
• Post-processor and machine code knowledge
• Experience in the stone industry on machines preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated under production pressure

Required skills

• Nesting/programming software such as TOP, Secad, Sekon or similar
• G-code programming
