National Collections Manager – 12‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an experienced National Collections Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Parramatta, you will lead a team of 10‑12 collections professionals, driving cash‑flow performance and reducing overdue debt across the company’s national operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the national collections team to meet individual and team targets.
• Design and execute collection strategies that maximise cash flow and minimise aged debt.
• Monitor performance, reporting and KPIs, identifying continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Sales, Commercial, Operations and Customer Service to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Manage key customer accounts, negotiate payment arrangements and review accounts exceeding credit limits.
• Support credit‑risk management and ensure compliance with policies, audit and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in collections, credit management or accounts‑receivable leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large collections teams and handle high‑volume portfolios.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder‑management and commercial acumen.
• Demonstrated success improving cash‑collection performance and reducing aged debt.
• Experience in large corporate environments; AICM membership is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP experience (highly regarded).
