National Anti-Corruption Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner

About the role
The Australian Government is appointing senior leaders to head the National Anti‑Corruption Commission (NACC). The Commissioner and up to three Deputy Commissioners will lead a powerful, independent integrity agency responsible for investigating serious or systemic corruption across the Commonwealth public sector.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the NACC’s investigations and reporting.
- Exercise coercive powers and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Parliament, other integrity agencies, and the public.
- Promote integrity standards, public confidence, and corruption‑prevention initiatives.
- Travel between NACC offices in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth as required.
Required profile
- Retired Judge of a federal, state or territory court, or a legal practitioner with at least five years of enrolment.
- Demonstrated record of leadership, achievement and commitment to integrity.
- Ability to manage complex investigations and lead senior teams.
