National Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven National Account Manager to lead our Big W and Pharmacy customers. You will own key relationships, deliver strong commercial results and shape long‑term growth strategies for these national accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow designated national accounts, meeting sales, margin, volume and market‑share targets.
• Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and develop multi‑year customer strategies.
• Plan and execute in‑store and digital promotions, optimise range, pricing, distribution and merchandising.
• Identify growth opportunities using data and category insights, manage P&L and trade spend to maximise ROI.
• Negotiate trading terms, build trusted partnerships and act as the internal voice of the customer.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Category, Finance and Supply teams to ensure operational excellence and high service levels (DIFOT).
• Forecast demand, align resources and drive cross‑functional initiatives that deliver business outcomes.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of FMCG account management experience, preferably in grocery or major retail.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence at multiple organisational levels.
• Analytical mindset capable of turning data into actionable insights.
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
• High energy, initiative‑driven and a growth mindset.
• University degree.
