Modernisation Site Manager

About the role

KONE, a global organisation that provides essential services keeping people moving safely and efficiently in buildings, is seeking an experienced Modernisation Site Manager for its Melbourne team. The role oversees the delivery of multiple modernisation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while coordinating site activities, managing resources and building strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple modernisation projects from commencement to completion
• Plan and organise labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor activities
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants and key stakeholders
• Drive a positive safety culture by ensuring compliance with KONE's safety standards, policies and procedures
• Lead, coach and motivate site teams to meet quality, productivity and customer satisfaction targets
• Monitor project progress, manage risks and resolve site issues proactively
• Collaborate with Project Managers and operational teams
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting and compliance records
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Proven experience in site management, construction, project delivery or a related field
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities and project timelines
• Construction qualification, trade background or equivalent industry experience
• Lift industry experience highly regarded
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident
• Current Australian driver's licence

Required skills

• Leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship management
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Project
