Membership & Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) is seeking a full‑time Membership & Communications Coordinator. This hybrid position (4 days remote, 1 day in the office near Chatswood Station) supports a leading health charity by acting as the first point of contact for members and providing secretariat assistance to the board and sub‑committees.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to member enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Process membership renewals and maintain accurate member records.
• Provide secretariat support for board meetings, sub‑committees and special events.
• Assist the membership and events team with communication initiatives and event logistics.
• Maintain and update the CRM and other administrative systems.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional attitude and experience building positive stakeholder relationships.
• Relevant university/TAFE qualification or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
