Medical Science Liaison

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be based in Melbourne and report to the Medical Manager, Medical Affairs. The role focuses on increasing brand awareness by exchanging scientific safety and efficacy data with healthcare professionals and key thought leaders across therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology and Fertility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide balanced, objective scientific information and education to healthcare customers and internal business partners.
• Engage in peer‑to‑peer scientific exchange with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key thought leaders (KTLs).
• Gather and communicate field insights through the company’s insight‑capturing system.
• Support commercial teams with scientific expertise and accurate data for product promotion.
• Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and laws.
• Stay up‑to‑date with scientific trends, competitor activity, and therapeutic developments.
• Contribute to the implementation of the local strategic plan and multi‑channel engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in medical affairs or scientific liaison roles.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology and Fertility.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with KTLs and HCPs.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of scientific trends, competitor activity, and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Capability to provide medical expertise on patient safety and drug‑related topics.
