Medical Receptionist

About the role

Sunshine Coast Radiology, the largest medical imaging provider on the Sunshine Coast and part of the Imaging Queensland and Integral Diagnostics network, is hiring Medical Receptionists for its growing teams across multiple locations. The role sits at the start of the patient journey and works alongside the wider clinical team. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service
• Manage appointments, bookings and patient enquiries
• Answer phones and respond to patient queries
• Process accounts, Medicare and private health claims
• Support Radiologists, Sonographers and Radiographers
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient information
• Liaise with patients, referrers and medical practices
• Help run the day-to-day operation of the practice and take part in team meetings, training and development

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and enjoys helping others
• Confident communicating with patients and healthcare professionals
• Organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Professional and respectful when handling confidential information
• A team player willing to learn and support others
• Previous medical reception or healthcare experience is highly regarded, but strong customer service and administration experience is also welcome
