Mechanical Trade Assistant

About the role

A client of WorkPac, which supplies equipment and after-sales support to the agricultural, civil, construction, utility, mining, forestry and natural resource industries, is looking for a mechanical trade assistant. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting early November, paid $45 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians with workshop repairs, servicing and machine preparation
• Perform equipment cleaning, detailing and pre-delivery tasks
• Load and unload parts, equipment and materials
• Support yard organisation, stock handling and housekeeping
• Collect and deliver parts and equipment as required
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures
• Assist with general branch operations and customer support

Required profile

• Previous trade assistant, maintenance, industrial or general labouring experience
• Reliable, hardworking attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
• Able to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen

Required skills

• Valid driver's licence
• Current forklift licence
