Mechanical Supervisor – Weekend TBM Operations

About the role
ACCIONA is delivering the Western Harbour Tunnel – Stage 2 in Sydney. The Mechanical Supervisor will lead all TBM mechanical activities during weekend shifts (Friday‑Monday), ensuring safe and continuous tunnelling.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise TBM mechanical work across all phases of the project.
- Lead, mentor and coordinate mechanics and maintenance crews on rotating weekend rosters.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults in TBM systems such as cutterhead, slurry circuit, thrust, cooling, pumps and auxiliary plant.
- Plan, prioritize and execute maintenance and repair actions while complying with OEM and project requirements.
- Apply and enforce safety, quality and environmental processes, and complete required inspections, reports and audit documentation.
Required profile
- Trade qualification in a mechanical field.
- Prior experience on major infrastructure projects, preferably with TBM or heavy plant maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead teams on rotating rosters.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Required skills
- TBM mechanical and hydraulic systems knowledge.
- Slurry shield TBM experience.
- Heavy plant maintenance.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
