Mechanical HVAC Service Technician

About the role

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart buildings, HVAC, energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions, is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician for its Sydney service team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing a broad range of commercial HVAC equipment, working with high-profile commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Fault find, diagnose, service and repair equipment
• Perform equipment overhauls and commissioning
• Handle small commercial installations and upgrade works
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Work on equipment from package units through to chillers and central plant systems, with exposure to Johnson Controls Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Prepare quotations for small works and manage jobs from start to completion
• Build strong customer relationships through quality service delivery

Required profile

• Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC and air conditioning systems
• Chiller experience highly regarded
• Refrigeration or electrical trade qualification (HVAC experience essential)
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Motivated, safety-focused approach with excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
