Associate Director, Data Centre Mechanical Engineer

About the role

AECOM is looking for an Associate Director Data Centre Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Sydney. The role leads mechanical design and engineering for data centre projects in one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical design and engineering for data centre projects, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality standards
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver tailored solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and development
• Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs

Required profile

• Proven track record in mechanical engineering within the data centre sector, with a focus on design and project management
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field; professional engineering registration is a plus
• Strong leadership skills: leading teams, managing stakeholders and driving project success
• Experience in data centre markets from prominent regions is highly desirable; overseas applicants are welcomed, especially from North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific
