About the role

An experienced Mechanical Fitter is sought to assemble, install and maintain the mechanical systems behind automation projects, from workshop builds to on-site commissioning. The role suits someone who is detail-oriented, has strong mechanical aptitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install and maintain mechanical components of automated systems and machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to fit components accurately.
• Carry out regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Work with electrical engineers and technicians so that mechanical and electrical systems integrate seamlessly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all fitting activities.
• Document work performed and keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Support and train junior staff as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• A valid Australian driver's licence.
