Mechanical Fitter - Fuel Systems

About the role

UGL, the major Defence Fuel Network managing contractor, is hiring a Mechanical Fitter in Perth, WA. This is a hands-on, blue-collar role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, focused on diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining critical assets such as fuel storage and fuel transfer systems. It is a 38-hour week with early Friday finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnostics, servicing, repair and maintenance of critical assets and equipment, including fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.
• Option to spend a week each month travelling to places such as Exmouth or Derby, working 12-hour days and earning overtime (time and a half for the first two hours, then double time).

Required profile

• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications.
• Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance; fuel services or Oil & Gas experience preferred.
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
• Confined space and working at heights tickets preferred.
