Mechanical Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer you will support the design, delivery and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment for the Wyaralong project in Brisbane. You will prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Provide input into selection and sizing of pumps, piping and valves.
• Coordinate mechanical scope with process, civil, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Support procurement through technical specifications and vendor review.
• Respond to RFIs and resolve site‑based technical issues.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering on water or infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and industry codes.
• Experience across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Engineers Australia membership or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status desirable.
