Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our close‑knit Queensland team in Meadowbrook. You will work across product development, manufacturing, fabrication and project delivery, turning practical designs into real‑world solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and components using Autodesk Inventor.
• Produce detailed engineering and workshop‑ready fabrication drawings.
• Assist with product development, design improvements and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver commercially viable solutions.
• Liaise with manufacturing and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings and technical discussions.
• Support site inspections and commissioning activities when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit or similar CAD platforms.
• Strong 3D modelling and technical drawing capability.
• Proven ability to produce fabrication or manufacturing drawings.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Practical, collaborative approach to engineering and design.
• Experience in water management, vacuum drainage, manufacturing, fabrication or industrial equipment is highly regarded.
