MC Truck Driver - Interstate and Intrastate Linehaul

About the role

Ron Finemore Transport is looking for full-time experienced MC drivers to run interstate and intrastate linehaul from its Wodonga depot, picking up loads from major customer vendor sites and delivering to major distribution centres. Many runs may include overnight stays and all involve some weekend work on a rostered system; applicants should consider this before applying. The position is open only to candidates with full-time working rights valid for at least 12 months, and sponsorship is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a range of trailing equipment including high-cube, mezz, rollback and refrigerated trailers from various locations across capitals, intra- and interstate areas
• Liaise with customers in a friendly and professional way
• Understand load restraint according to the National Load Restraint Guidelines
• Complete all paperwork on time and in full
• Drive in a time-sensitive environment
• Refuel and keep allocated equipment clean
• Report mechanical faults, delivery issues or delays promptly

Required profile

• Full-time working rights in Australia for a minimum of 12 months
• MC licence (minimum); experience is essential
• Good driving record of at least 12 months
• Right to work in Australia; pre-employment medical check and national criminal history check required
