Forklift Operators (x2) - Transit Warehouse

About the role

SCT Logistics, Australia's largest privately owned rail and freight logistics company, is hiring two forklift operators for its Wodonga/Barnawartha site. The positions are permanent, full-time, shift-based Monday to Friday with immediate start, and pay $31.81 per hour with consistent hours and overtime available.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers and rail wagons
• Sort and check freight against customer delivery paperwork
• Restrain loads according to the National Load Restraint Guide
• Palletise and pack loads, and handle general and non-standard freight
• Operate counterbalance forklifts and perform heavy lifting and dunnage duties
• Perform vehicle pre-start checks and report damaged freight and shortages through the exception reporting process
• Clean trailers, wagons and the premises, and comply with the Warehouse Traffic Management Plan
• Follow all SCT policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation

Required profile

• Current LF High Risk Work license
• Experience operating a forklift in a transit warehouse
• Knowledge of load restraint procedures and of the Chain of Responsibility
• Team player with a positive attitude, reliable and punctual
