Material, Inventory and Supplier Specialist

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Material, Inventory and Supplier Specialist to support the Collins class Submarines Combat System for the Australian Defence Force. The specialist reports to the Material, Inventory and Logistics Manager and delivers advanced supply support services, including inventory management, subcontractor administration, supplier performance management and data governance across Material Supply Support (MSS) activities. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor activities, including coordination of deliverables, schedules and performance outcomes, and conduct subcontractor status reviews
• Monitor, report on and drive improvement in supplier performance
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, Commercial and Procurement teams, and support vendor onboarding, due diligence and supplier capability assessments
• Administer subcontract deliverables such as Contractor Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and reporting, and support calibration subcontract administration and compliance
• Perform advanced inventory management, including analysis, reconciliation and optimisation across multiple systems
• Develop and maintain reporting on inventory, supplier and subcontractor performance, and analyse trends, risks and opportunities to improve supply chain performance and data integrity
• Maintain supply chain data repositories and management information systems, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex supply chain issues
• Provide subject matter expertise on supply support and inventory management, and identify improvements to processes, systems and reporting
• Travel may be required within Australia

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant supply chain or logistics experience
• Demonstrated experience in inventory management and supplier or subcontractor management
• Practical knowledge of Defence or complex supply chain environments, and exposure to inventory optimisation and warehousing
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV-1 security clearance as needed
