Marketing & Engagement Officer

About the role

Riverina Regional Library is seeking a Marketing & Engagement Officer to develop and deliver marketing initiatives that promote library services, increase membership and encourage reading and literacy across the region. This is a permanent full-time position (35 hours per week) reporting to the Library Manager, working with library and branch staff to build brand recognition and consistent marketing across digital and traditional channels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate media and promotional activities, develop brand recognition and increase public engagement
• Create content for internal and external channels, including graphics, copy, media releases and short-form video
• Develop targeted campaigns for diverse audiences and assist with outreach events and campaigns
• Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships, and provide leadership and training in marketing best practice
• Administer the marketing and promotions budget
• Maintain templates and user guides for staff and members
• Keep branding consistent across social media, website, online catalogue, mobile apps, newsletters and physical resources
• Respond to customer enquiries

Required profile

• Qualification in Marketing and Communications and/or demonstrated experience in the role
• Experience managing and creating content for digital and social media, including front-end website management, Facebook and Instagram
• Knowledge of marketing best practice, with preference for the public library or similar sector
• Class C driver's licence

• Salary of $1,403.60 to $1,600.04 (Band 2, Level 2)
