Marketing Director – ANZ

About the role

Explora Journeys is seeking a Marketing Director for Australia & New Zealand to lead and scale the regional marketing function. Based in Sydney, the role will shape the marketing strategy, drive digital transformation and ensure that marketing investment directly contributes to revenue growth and brand equity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated annual marketing plan across B2C, B2B and B2B2C channels, aligning media, digital, PR and trade activities with commercial targets.
• Act as regional brand custodian, localising global campaigns and managing the marketing calendar to ensure consistency and timely execution.
• Own the digital strategy, including paid media, search and programmatic, and implement performance‑led approaches to optimise acquisition, conversion and lifetime value.
• Lead media planning and investment, overseeing the ATL agency, optimising media mix and ROI with a strong focus on digital channels.
• Translate global trade marketing into regional programmes, supporting partners with digital and sales tools to drive conversion.
• Leverage data, analytics and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, refine targeting and inform business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior marketing leadership experience, preferably within luxury or travel brands.
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of linking marketing spend to revenue outcomes.
• Data‑driven decision making and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
