Marketing Analyst

About the role

Join carsales as a Marketing Analyst to turn customer behaviour and transactional data into actionable insights that drive marketing decisions. You will work closely with digital, consumer, commercial and content teams, as well as data and product partners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report on customer behaviour, marketing KPIs and attribution using SQL and cloud data warehouses.
• Develop visualisations and dashboards in Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI or ThoughtSpot to communicate insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify problems, propose data‑driven solutions and support budget allocation through marketing‑mix modelling.
• Design, launch and evaluate A/B tests and CRO initiatives using Optimizely, Adobe Target or Maxymiser.

Required profile

• Curious, data‑focused mindset with a habit of asking “why” and challenging the status quo.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross‑functional teams and translate analytics into business impact.

Required skills

• SQL query writing.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Data visualisation tools: Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, ThoughtSpot.
• Web analytics platforms: Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, Appsflyer, Adjust.
• Tag management: Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch.
• A/B testing and CRO tools: Optimizely, Adobe Target, Maxymiser.
