Manufacturing Engineer – Automation & Equipment Validation

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation to meet production volume, safety, quality, and cost targets. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure assembly and packaging operations consistently meet regulatory and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of equipment, process, and production issues using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Support design, installation, commissioning, and optimisation of manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Develop and execute equipment and process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyse equipment performance, downtime, OEE, and yield data to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, SOPs, validation protocols, and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with experience in root‑cause analysis tools.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across production, quality, maintenance and project teams.

Required skills

• Experience with PLC‑controlled equipment, vision systems, robotics, sensors and automated production systems.
• Knowledge of validation methodologies and hands‑on experience with IQ, OQ, PQ.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Familiarity with root‑cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, DMAIC).
