Manager Trade Support - Collateral, Futures, Brokerage & Reconciliation

About the role

CommBank's Market Operations team supports the Global Markets business and the smooth operation of its trading activities. It is looking for a Manager Trade Support to lead a team of around six specialists who manage end-to-end Collateral, Futures, Brokerage and Reconciliation activities. This is a people leadership role combining operational excellence, stakeholder management and risk oversight in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of six specialists
• Manage collateral operations, including margin calls, dispute resolution and collateral movements
• Oversee futures processing and ensure operational obligations are completed on time
• Manage brokerage payments and associated controls
• Ensure daily reconciliations are accurate and exceptions are resolved promptly
• Monitor operational risks, identify control gaps and drive remediation
• Build relationships with Front Office, Finance, Risk and external counterparties
• Drive continuous improvement and provide management reporting on operational performance
• Support new products, system enhancements and regulatory change initiatives, and escalate operational issues appropriately

Required profile

• Experience in Financial Markets, Market Operations, Trade Support, Middle Office or Treasury Operations
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and team development
• Strong risk and controls mindset in a highly regulated environment
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting

Required skills

• Collateral management, futures operations, brokerage processing and reconciliations
• Ideally: derivatives, fixed income, FX or other financial markets products
• Ideally: exposure to operational change, process improvement and transformation
• Ideally: knowledge of regulatory requirements and market infrastructure
