Manager, Technology Risk Consulting

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia's Risk Consulting practice brings together experts in Technology Risk, Financial Crime, Internal Audit and Risk Advisory. Its Technology Risk Consulting team helps organisations build confidence in their technology, cyber and data environments, covering technology assurance, cyber risk, governance, compliance and major project assurance. As a Manager in the Melbourne team, you will lead Technology Risk engagements and mentor Associates and Senior Associates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Technology Risk engagements across Controls Assurance reporting, IT Audit, Cyber Risk, Privacy and Data Governance
• Apply frameworks such as SOC, COBIT, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, GS 007 and Essential 8 to assess client environments
• Build trusted client relationships and turn complex technology risks into pragmatic recommendations for executives and technical stakeholders
• Manage engagement scope, budget, delivery quality, risks and stakeholder expectations
• Coach Associates and Senior Associates through review, feedback and on-the-job development
• Help grow the national Technology Risk practice in Melbourne

Required profile

• CISA, CRISC, CISM, ISO Lead Auditor or other relevant qualification (or currently pursuing)
• IT risk and security management experience in a public practice or corporate environment
• Experience with auditing standards and frameworks such as SOC-2, GS 007, ASAE 3150 and 3402, COBIT, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, Essential 8 and/or NIST
• Demonstrable understanding of hyperscale IT systems and their deployment across organisations
• People leadership experience, with coaching and mentoring of less experienced team members
