Manager - Supply Chain and Operations (Procurement)

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager in its Supply Chain and Operations practice, focusing on procurement including procurement strategy, category management and digital procurement. The role builds teams and networks across the consumer and life sciences sectors and is based in Naarm (Melbourne).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver procurement engagements covering operating model, strategic sourcing cost-out, purchase-to-pay optimisation and technology implementation, including AI solutions.
• Apply procurement expertise in complex, large-scale organisations in the FMCG, life sciences and retail sectors, improving cost management, productivity and capability.
• Contribute to wider supply chain initiatives such as inventory, network optimisation and manufacturing excellence.
• Manage project delivery, keeping quality, time and budget, monitor progress and risks, maintain client relationships and identify additional business opportunities.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of recent operational or consulting experience in procurement in life sciences or consumer sectors.
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability to learn new processes and identify client opportunities.
• Understanding of cross-border operational challenges and opportunities for global procurement functions.
• Leadership through mentoring and motivating diverse client teams, communicating insights to senior executives.
