Manager Resource Engineering – Adelaide

About the role

The Manager Resource Engineering will provide senior leadership to resource engineering teams, supporting safe and effective planning and development of Copper SA's resources and infrastructure. Reporting to the General Manager Planning, Technical and Environment, you will shape the future value of the copper portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Translate corporate and long‑term business objectives into actionable plans and support evidence‑based strategic decision making.
• Integrate across functions, operations and technical disciplines to address complex challenges and strengthen asset alignment.
• Apply engineering concepts, governance and risk management across resource development and design of surface and subsurface systems.
• Maintain a strong operational interface with Copper SA assets to deliver safe, productive and sustainable outcomes.
• Lead change initiatives, coach and mentor teams, and build organisational capability.

Required profile

• Senior technical and people leader with broad knowledge of the mining value chain.
• Demonstrated ability to work in large, complex, matrixed organisations.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to link engineering decisions to operational performance and long‑term value.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering qualification.
• Underground mining experience and strong knowledge of the technical mining value chain.
• Leadership experience including team capability building through coaching and mentoring.
• Integration skills to connect technical disciplines, functions and operations.
