About the role
The Office for Women is seeking a motivated leader to manage policy and program delivery that advances gender equality for Victorian women and girls. This senior position offers the chance to shape strategic initiatives, influence government policy, and lead a high‑performing team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice and briefings to the Minister for Women and Girls, senior executives and key stakeholders on gender‑related policy.
- Conduct policy analysis and coordinate reporting against whole‑of‑government gender equality strategies.
- Lead the development, coordination and implementation of major projects, programs and policy initiatives.
- Manage a team to deliver policy and programs aligned with Victoria’s gender equality strategy 2023‑2027.
- Engage with government, sector and community partners to drive outcomes for women’s economic security, participation and equity.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in gender equality, social policy and team leadership.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder‑engagement and influencing abilities.
- Proactive, adaptable, resilient and detail‑oriented.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive and supportive work environment.
